Procedures To Safeguard Staff Members And Patients

At Care Dynamics our primary concern is the health, safety and welfare of both our clients and staff members. We have a comprehensive Health & Safety policy, which enables us to ensure that we provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, practices and equipment for all our staff members. The Company will provide information, training and supervision as may be necessary for this purpose. When risks to safety or health need to be assessed under a specific duty or regulations, we will ensure that appropriate assessments are carried out. In some cases the responsibility for carrying out assessments will be the client’s.

We operate a rigorous recruitment and selection process and any staff member applies for registration with Care Dynamics is required to satisfy a number of checks before registration can be granted:

  • All staff members are required to apply for an enhanced CRB disclosure with Care Dynamics Ltd. For overseas members, a police check is obtained from their country of origin if they have been in the UK for less than 3 months

  • Two written references from the applicant’s present and previous employer filled in by a member of staff senior to them

  • Proof of ID and addresses

  • 3 Day induction

  • Mandatory Moving & Handling, Health & Safety, Fire Prevention, Infection Control, First Aid, Food Hygiene training (updated annually)

  • Annual Health Declaration and fitness to work declaration

  • Immunisation updates (Hep B, Varicella, Rubella, TB) and shown on the back of their ID Badge

  • Application form indicating full employment history and experience

  • Staff appraisals and performance monitoring

  • ID Badge

  • Uniform

  • Working time directive declaration

  • Signed Data Protection declaration

  • Staff Handbook signed off by each successful applicant.

Health & Safety

IT IS THE POLICY OF Care Dynamics Ltd to observe the requirements of Health & Safety at Work Act of 1974 (and any other subsequent legislation or regulations). It is the policy of the company to listen carefully to any views of Service Users and staff members in relation to Health & Safety issues.

Insurance Cover

Anyone working for/or on behalf of Care Dynamics Ltd has an indemnity cover under the following policies:

  • Employers Liability to £10 million any one claim

  • Public Liability to £5 million any one claim

  • Professional Indemnity £10,000 any one claim

  • Our certificate of Employers Liability Insurance is displayed in our office.
