Cross Gender Care
Service Users must feel free to decide the gender of their Care Workers and this issue should be discussed at the commencement of care. ‘Same gender care’ is not mandatory, however the Company does not permit male Care Workers to carry out personal care tasks for female Service Users without explicit reasons that should be clearly recorded in the Service User’s file.
